Tim and Diane visit

Tim and Diane live in Nebraska. That's really far away - a 16 hour car trip!

I had put a roast in the crock pot for Friday's dinner with potatoes and carrots. Add a side of green beans and gravy and dinner was super easy.

Don't forget the cheesecake with cherry topping.

Lunch Saturday we introduced them to the Gazebo Cafe.

They stayed at the Hampton Inn, so we took advantage of the pool.

It was not the warmest day...

Then Diane dressed the girls in the most cute pink outfits.

Then we walked around downtown and went to Fat Buddies for dinner. The next day was rainy, so we drove to Asheville. Red Lobster for lunch, pictures at JCPenny for Madelyn, then to Mountain Play Lodge for Lydia.

I was put in jail...

We had a great weekend catching up.

Just hanging out

My mom has a group of friends that get together for lunch about once a month. This month they decided to meet at Standing Indian Campground for chicken salad, fruit, and something else... They were nice enough to invite the me and the girls!

Lydia enjoyed a little skating.

Madelyn enjoyed a bottle.

Due to all the rain, the creek was moving at a swift pace. Lydia was not allowed near it as I feared for the live of other children wading and not being closely monitored.

Then we played at home with Grammy for a while.

Madelyn learned the stickiness of syrup from Lydia.

Then she discovered how to go head first into the storage ottoman.

We visited the Penland girls for lunch,

and Haley and Abbey came to play in our pool.

It's a grand summer!
