It's a New Year

Mr. and Mrs. Pardue came to visit! We enjoyed Sunday lunch with my parents and grandparents, dinner at Chris and Charlie's, waffles for breakfast, a walk through downtown, and leftovers for lunch. It was a lowkey, short visit, but I LOVED every minute of it! I hope they come back soon.

Lydia got a Christmas present in the mail from Tim and Diane. I do believe she is a princes in every sense now.

 Mark, Kim, Hope, and Harrison came over for our annual New Year's Eve bash. We had pizza, breadsticks, salad, and chocolate chip cookies. The girls entertained themselves playing with all of Lydia's toys then having a fashion show for us.

 The plan was to have the girls go to sleep, so we brushed our teeth,

 and read some books.

 Harrison went to sleep,

 and Madelyn was close,

but the girls didn't fall asleep. Hope wanted to sleep in her bed, so we called it a night around 11. I was asleep by 11:30. Maybe next year we'll all make it to midnight. Happy New Year!

On a side note, Liz got Darren a puppy for Christmas. Lydia loves Remington, aka Remmy.

It's a new year

We rang in the new year at Mark and Kim's. The girls entertained us with their singing before going to bed so the adults could play Uno Roboto and Phase Ten. We also enjoyed chili, queso dip, coffee, chocolate chips cookies, and sparkling red at midnight. After the ball dropped, we finished our games around 2 and went home.

The first day of the year it is apparently traditional to eat certain foods. My Aunt Marcia invited the family over after church to endulge ourselves. (There was yummy lasagna for those of us who are picky eaters.)

Dating

Joey and I started dating in November, 2006. Our first date was at Ryan's Steakhouse in Sylva, NC. We were pretty inseperable after that.

We went bowling with Miranda, Daniel, and Justin, aka Slinky.

I had dinner with Callie at her apartment.

We went out to eat at Pizza Hut with Callie and Joel.

The Christmas Parade is always fun.

(Holly's nieces are so cute!)

Holly and David got married on December 30th.

Karen and Matthew came to visit around New Year's. We went to the factory.

And then to Susan Peugh's party where we met up with Nathan.

I had never been to Disney World, so Joey took me after the new year.

Then we visited Jacksonville Beach.

It was a GREAT beginning!
