Spring Break at the Farm

We spent another wonderful week at the farm.
Lydia and Gramma read books.
Lydia played with the Nooks.
She tried on Gramma's robe.

Gramma painted her fingernails.

Lounging in the floor to watch TV is always fun.
There was snow on Monday morning. By the time we ventured out on Tuesday, it was almost gone, but we enjoyed it nonetheless.

Lydia practiced putting on make-up with Bev.
Other highlights included great food. Lydia ate a scrambled egg at least once a day, which is quite unusual. She also enjoyed indulging in several donuts each day. The grown-ups had spaghetti, tacos, pinto beans with fried potatoes, and homemade vegetable beef soup. Oh, and did I mention brownies and cherry AND blueberry cobblers?!? Brooke and Betty came to visit on Friday and the girls had a lot of fun together.

On Thursday, mom and I traveled to Winston Salem. She ate dinner with my brother Steve while I went to meet up with Katie Miller. She is getting married in September so trying on dresses was in order. After a fantastic dinner at Panera Bread and a super quick drive across the city, we ended up at David's Bridal. Since I will be almost 8 months pregnant, I get the honor of buying extra fabric so my dress can be shaped. :) I'm so so so excited!

  3. Sounds like fun! I can't imagine what a dress "shaping" for a big 8 month pregnant belly looks like, but I'm excited to see. ;)
