Daughter Date Night

Well, we got the sickness again. First Lydia was throwing up, then me. I was so incapacitated that my mom came to my house of Friday to take care of me and my child at my house. (If your mom is not this great, be jealous.) However, she contracted it and proceeded to give it to my father. (I hope they still love me...) A week after the first throw up, we are all on the mend and Joey starts to feel a little queasy. To give him some peace, I took Lydia out to eat just the two of us to Sunset. We were there for over an hour - that's how long it took her to eat her one measly little hot dog (no bun) while I bribed her with french fries and meringue between bites. We did have a fun time bonding and I hope to do it again real soon (without the hubby being sick at home).

Side note: Joey has bikes for sale. Someone please buy them so he will stop trying to sell them. But then he will buy another one....sigh....it may be a vicious cycle. Oh well - at lease he's active!

It's a new year

We rang in the new year at Mark and Kim's. The girls entertained us with their singing before going to bed so the adults could play Uno Roboto and Phase Ten. We also enjoyed chili, queso dip, coffee, chocolate chips cookies, and sparkling red at midnight. After the ball dropped, we finished our games around 2 and went home.

The first day of the year it is apparently traditional to eat certain foods. My Aunt Marcia invited the family over after church to endulge ourselves. (There was yummy lasagna for those of us who are picky eaters.)

McConnell Family Christmas

We left our house at 5:51 am Thursday to travel almost 5 hours to my brotherss houses. We slept at Jason and Rachel's but spent most of the two days at Steve and Melissa's where my parents stayed.

We loved on Connor Baby a lot!

Yes, that is the dog bed...

Joey and I even got a date night! I love Japanese Steakhouses!

Three cousins!

My favorite picture!

This is how we arrange our car simply to keep the sun out Lydia's eyes. :)
