Preparing for the Beach

We went to the pool with Lala and the twins.

We played upstairs. 

We went to Wal-mart and discovered that this buggy is rediculous and we will never use it again, but it made for a cute picture. 

These balloons have been inflated since Lydia's birthday party (May 11)! All the credit goes to the local Dollar Tree. I am super impressed! 

We visited Grammy and Papa and Ma Rea. 

Madelyn isn't too sure about the grass...

Mom, Lydia, and I got our nails done.

General Cuteness

Madelyn at 9 months

Madelyn weighs 18 pounds, 14 ounces and is 27 inches long. (50th percentile for both)

She got one shot, but didn't even notice since she was already crying from being made to lay down.

She crawls well, but it's usually with one knee and one foot.

She growls on command and can moooo, kinda.

She pulls up on everything and has started climbing the stairs, so out came the baby gate.

She's a happy, go-lucky kid. We are truly blessed!

Tim and Diane visit

Tim and Diane live in Nebraska. That's really far away - a 16 hour car trip!

I had put a roast in the crock pot for Friday's dinner with potatoes and carrots. Add a side of green beans and gravy and dinner was super easy.

Don't forget the cheesecake with cherry topping.

Lunch Saturday we introduced them to the Gazebo Cafe.

They stayed at the Hampton Inn, so we took advantage of the pool.

It was not the warmest day...

Then Diane dressed the girls in the most cute pink outfits.

Then we walked around downtown and went to Fat Buddies for dinner. The next day was rainy, so we drove to Asheville. Red Lobster for lunch, pictures at JCPenny for Madelyn, then to Mountain Play Lodge for Lydia.
