Nature Center Trip

My friend, Holly, and I packed our three kids into her car and traveled to Asheville for the day. First stop: WNC Nature Center! The kids loved seeing all the animals.

My camera died, so that is all the pictures I have. We visited the mall for Chic-fil-a and to play in the indoor play area then went to a maternity consignment store in Waynesville on the way home. A good time was had by all!

Gym and Swim

Every Wednesday this summer, Lydia has had the opportunity to visit New Vision Gymnastics here in town. She does 45 minutes of gymnastics and then 45 minutes of swimming lessons. She is really enjoying her weekly class and learning a lot. My kid has turned into a little fish!

Fun with Hope

Lydia and Hope are the best of friends. They play well together and LOVE each other (to death). Both girls will become big sisters this fall and will have even more in common.

Jeri Turns 50!

To celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday, we rented two cabins near Helen, GA. It was a nice getaway and most of Joey's family was there. We really missed Ashley, Brian, and Julian!

I love her puddle jumper! It is coast guard approved as a life vest!

Michael and Shannon flew in from California! (and baby Simon)

Lydia loves her Uncle Matthew!

Story Time at the Library

Every Monday at 10:00 am, Lydia and I head to the library. She enjoys this time to listen to stories (as much as a 3 year old can) and whisper quietly to her friends.

Then there's a craft...

and playtime in the tent.

BUT her favorite part is probably the fish and gerbils.

And the computer!

Beach Trip 2012

We just spent a wonderful vacation with my parents in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, for a week. It was AWESOME!
There was an empty stretch of highway and no gas station in sight. A little nerve wracking.
Playing with her 'boy' aka her 'buddy' whose real name was Corbin from Gainesville, GA

A super fun place to eat is Pompano Joe's!
Lydia discovered her love of temporary tattoos.

Don't you sit in a drawer to watch TV with your papa?

"Mom, take a picture of my face like this!"

What being at the beach is all about.
We tried to eat at Fudpucker's, but the wait was over an hour long, so we just looked at the alligators and left.

Then we had to wait for a shuttle to eat at the next place. We chose the wrong time to find dinner that night.

She made lots of friends at the pool. "Pull me, Boy."

And made art with her lunch.

Thanks again to Diane Cotton for letting us borrow her portable DVD player!
