Sprinkling and Nesting

Lydia finally putting change in her piggy bank while we organize the nursery.

My Aunt Bev threw me a 'sprinkle' Friday evening. We obviously still have all the big stuff from 3 years ago, but celebrating a new life is always fun in good company. I am so thankful to my friends and family who came to eat baked potatoes and cupcakes, play a few games, and make AWESOME monthly onesies for the new baby. I can't wait to put him/her in them!!

According to the old wives tales, this baby is a 58% chance of being a girl and a 42% chance of being a boy.

Apparently, some people think I'm bigger than even I think I am! :)

Lydia and Hope playing together.

The fabric for each number is appropriately themed for the month in which it will be worn.

I spent most of today picking up, cleaning, doing laundry, and running errands. At 8.5 months pregnant, I feel like I accomplished a lot, but man am I tired!
The nursery is officially ready!

The family cradle is properly placed.

And this may be the only time you see Lydia's room this clean for a while.

All Caught Up at 37 weeks

In case you were wondering, I'm 37 weeks pregnant with our 2nd child. I AM HUGE! Oh well...this too shall pass....sigh. If you haven't already made your guess, please do so. Also, if you know of a teacher who is NC certified in elementary education and would like to due my maternity leave, PLEASE let me know....double sigh. In the past week and a half, we got maternity/family pictures made while working around Lydia's hand, foot, mouth issue. I promise to post some as soon as I get them back. I know a lot of people don't do this, but I look at it as a miracle of God and I want to remember the good things about the past 8 months. (I'm not really a fan of being pregnant if you can't tell.) We will soon be a family of 4 and that is an exciting/staggering thought. My mom came over Monday evening to help clean and organize the baby room. I don't know what I would do without her. She is my steady companion always willing to do whatever I need. That being said, we are ready for Madelyn/Tyler!

Joey took Lydia to the park so I could cook dinner and FINALLY update this wonderful blog of mine, so be sure to check out all the posts I've done. (I am OCD, so they are predated and will appear chronologically.)

Fair Fun and Family

The county fair was hopping as usual this year, so off we went to see all the animals,

to ride on 4 wheelers and tractors,

to eat ice cream,

and have a grand time in general.

Joey's sister, Ashley, along with her family and Joey's brother, Matt, came up for the weekend. All of his family got together several times to eat, visit, the fair, and hang out.

Can you tell how big this bunny is???

Holly and the boys happened to be at the fair the same time!

Group hug!

There's baby chickens in there somewhere...

Buckle up for safety and drive!

Grandpa's motorcycle is so fun!

Julian and Lydia are the closest in age: only 4 weeks, but that may change with the two newest additions expected anytime.

Katie's Wedding

My really good friend and roommate from college, Katie, got married and I was honored to be asked to be a bridesmaid. When she asked back in January, I had no idea I would be almost 8 months pregnant for the ceremony. The wedding was beautiful as was the bride and I had an AWESOME time celebrating with everyone!

Dancing with her daddy.

Gorgeous bouquets.

Ingenious center pieces.

Creative favors.
